Hallo zusammen,

anbei die Übersetzung der Handbuchseite zu uclampset (62 Strings).

Ich bitte diesmal nicht direkt um konstruktive Kritik, sondern erst
einmal um eine Einschätzung, ob man so etwas überhaupt übersetzen
sollte. Gemäß Helges Vorschlag habe ich »utilization clamping« als
»Leistungsklammerung« übersetzt. Funktioniert grammatisch leidlich,
aber mehrfach taucht »utilization« als eigenständiger Begriff auf, den
man dann schlecht einfach mit »Leistung« übersetzen kann. Zugeben muss
ich auch noch, dass ich nur etwa die Hälfte überhaupt einigermaßen
verstanden habe.

Zwei mal wird im Text auf die Kernel-Doku verwiesen. Die gibt es nur
auf Englisch, aber ohne sie wird der Benutzer nicht weit kommen, weil
er erst mal herausfinden muss, wie sein Kernel überhaupt tickt.
Angesichts der furchterregenden Grammatik meiner Übersetzung, die sich
auch mit einem unübersetzten »utilization clamping« kaum verbessern
ließe, tendiere ich dazu, die Handbuchseite nicht zu bearbeiten.
Ebenso die entsprechenden Teile der UI-Übersetzung. Der Leser braucht
eine verständliche »Bedienungsanleitung«. Ich fürchte, die werde ich
ihm kaum liefern können.
