Für mich klingt „obligatorisch“ ungewohnt und ich denke immer erst an
„optional“. Daher würde ich eine alternative Übersetzung wie
„notwendig“, „zwingend“, „vorgeschrieben“, „verpflichtend“ oder
ähnlich bevorzugen.
