Moin,
die CUPS-Handbuchseiten wurden überarbeitet. Der Effekt war, dass fast
alle Zeichenketten fuzzy oder nicht übersetzt waren. Das meiste ware
allerdings nur Formatierung.
Bei der Aktualisierung sind mir auch (leider) einige Fehler in der
aktuellen Übersetzung aufgefallen (die ich behoben habe) -- mehr dazu
in einer späteren E-Mail.
Einige Zeichenketten/Begriffe bereiten mir aber Schwierigkeiten, hier
würde ich mich um Eure Hilfe freuen.
1) »banner«
Den Begriff hatte ich mit Deckblatt übersetzt, allerdings gibt es auch
»banner page«. Wie würdet Ihr ihn übersetzen? Beispiele weiter unten.
2) »shell filename matching patterns«
Matching habe ich immer mit »darauf passen« übersetzt, in diesem
Zusammenhang komme ich leider immer nur auf unmögliche Wortugetüme.
Im Zusammenhang:

Konkret:

6) »job history«
Auftragsverlauf finde ich hier nicht wirklich passend.
Konkret:

"number of seconds after printing. If \"Yes\", the job history is preserved "
"until the MaxJobs limit is reached. The default is \"Yes\"."

Einfach unübersetzt lassen?
Konkret:
