To be honest, it may not be worth a huge amount of effort in this case.
This code will be moving to libpipeline from man-db 2.5.9 onwards
anyway, and it didn't seem worth the build system effort to include
internationalisation in libpipeline purely for the sake of what are
essentially developer-oriented debugging messages.  Unless there are
compelling reasons to the contrary, these messages may go away at that
point (although of course they'll be retrievable from revision control
history at any time if I change my mind).
