Incorrect handling of debconf translations in spip, gwhois and fontconfig?

The handling of debconf translations for the spip and fontconfig
packages seems somewhat jerky, at least in recent months.

In both bugs, a French translation of the debconf templates had been
sent, either by myself, Rémi Pannequin or Philippe Batailler.

At the moment these bugs were reported, these translations were
*complete*.

It appears that, in the meantime, some change in the packages have
outdated the translations.

IMHO, this is really bad behavior towards translators:

-a version was uploaded without taking care of grabbing existing
translation sitting (should I say "sleeping"?) in the BTS

-the templates were whanged without trying to notify the translators

-trivial bugs are left abandoned in the BTS

Thanks to Thomas Huriaux carefulness, we discovered these glitches and
you'll soon receive in these bug reports, updated versions.

I deeply hope that these ones will receive more attention by
maintainers and will then be fixed ASAP. I very seriously consider
NMUs to fix the bugs otherwise (IIRC, at least for spip, I already
talked of NMUing back in January but I was answered "I'll handle the
update)

I sincerely hope that all this is just a misunderstanding. Bad
interaction between translators and maintainers is becoming rare,
thankfully...

In case you need help or advices for better interactions with
translators, please feel free to ask for it on debian-i18n@lists.debian.org
