IMHO "e.V." (with a trailing dot) should stay as it is, for the very same reason we do not translate Ltd., GmbH or similar. I should admit, however, that I found no consistency in how we deal with the one of the latter, e.g. the Partners page cites companies including or excluding GmbH (despite the logo being clear): <http://www.debian.org/partners/> One possible solution would be to simply remove such abbreviated status (e.g. Sony legal name is "Sony Corporation").
