I've left it as "in real time" where it's just an idiomatic phrase,
and hyphenated it to "real-time logging" where it's a modifier
before a noun. (Using a hyphen in that context helps avoid
confusing pile-ups like "real time machine translation system".)

If necessary I'll justify my avoidance of "realtime" on the grounds
that we're not talking about the kind of "realtime computing" that's
turned into a specialised IT jargon term. "Realtime logging" would
get guaranteed access to as many CPU cycles as it needed to minimise
latency; "real-time logging" is just an ongoing process that tries
to keep up, like "real-time reporting".
