Please find, for review, the debconf templates and packages descriptions for the glide source package.

This review will last from Monday, March 30, 2009 to Thursday, April 09, 2009.

Please send reviews as unified diffs (diff -u) against the original
files. Comments about your proposed changes will be appreciated.

Your review should be sent as an answer to this mail.

When appropriate, I will send intermediate requests for review, with
"[RFRn]" (n>=2) as a subject tag.

When we will reach a consensus, I send a "Last Chance For
Comments" mail with "[LCFC]" as a subject tag.

Finally, the reviewed templates will be sent to the package maintainer
as a bug report, and a mail will be sent to this list with "[BTS]" as
a subject tag.

+ No 3Dfx card that is supported by glide2 was found. This package
+ supports cards based on the following 3Dfx chipsets: Voodoo 2,
  Voodoo Banshee, and Voodoo 3.

Avoid two sentences in the synopsis. This very unusual (and too long
for translators).

Avoid exclamative form. This is too non neutral and such texts should
be as factual as possible.

  .
- If you do not have a card based on one of the listed chipsets, and you are
- not compiling programs against glide, you should not have this package
- installed.
- .
- If you do have a card based on one of the listed chipsets please file a

  .
- Would you like to manually select the driver to use for now? (If not, a
- default sane value for compiling against will be selected.)
+ Please choose whether you want to manually select the driver to use for now.

One does not necessarily "have" a card. That could be someone else's
computer, etc.

Turn "you should not have this package" into "this package becomes
useless". After all, I do what I want and I'm perfectly entitled to
have a package that's useless..:-)

Turn "file a bug" into "report a bug".

Drop extra question (that will save you one lintian warning) and just
summarize the request in the last paragraph.

Use a proper "prompt" for a select template. I added "for 3D
acceleration" to make it clearer this has to do with the glide stuff.

Use recommended itemization style and do not make it a separate paragraph.
