"automatically" should apply to "generated" not "be" or "will".
Also, this sounds like configuring apt to call debsums - isn't it?
"but" seems clearer than "though" and it's not used already.
"relied on" or "relied upon"?

Possible mod:-

   configured to generate debsums files for installed packages
   automatically. This may be useful for checking system integrity

Maybe change "Run" to "Install" - execution depends on there being a
cron running, doesn't it?

Other than that, this one looks fine to me.
