I disagree with that change.  New compound words tend to close up over
time and arguably "username" is clearer here than "user name".
Compare with "userid" in the Wired style guide, if you have it.

Add "in that location" after "You should check the available disk
space" perhaps?  I think it may be too vague otherwise.

However, if exhausted disk space is the most common cause, it may be
helpful to suggest it.

It conveys more of a sense of "this first, then that" - not essential,
but not useless.
