xrdp is only the server part.

In fact, xrdp comes with a specially crafted X11 server that supports
RDP protocol, much like x11vnc. So, this is not strictly an XDMCP server
but I suppose that it is possible to use this functionality to connect
xrdp to an XDMCP server.

However, since this server is not shipped in the tarball, the connector
to this functionality is useless. Therefore, I propose we drop this from
the description.

Based on discoveries by the rdesktop project, xdrp uses the Remote
Desktop Protocol to present a graphical login to a remote client. xrdp
can connect to a VNC server or another RDP server.
