you are right Mr Ossama, but how can i set the encoding manually, i searched all menus in gedit and didn't find encoding menu

Hi All,
I have a problem opening arabic text files by gedit,
the arabic characters aren't showed
i tried to use "katoob" the arabic text editor, the
characters are showed well,
but when i tried save the text files the Program Said "I
wasn't able to convert the encoding" what shall i do???
