Re: Knoppix repositories for browsers update.

Hello Miguel,

Debian has decided to switch off the "alioth" repository for developers.
I'm still searching for a replacement in order to upload the few
self-compiled packages. Probably the new "salsa" Debian server, which
does not feature am easy way to set up a real Debian-repository yet.

For now, please comment out the alioth line in sources.list.

If you need sources for a special Knoppix-package, just let me know,
I'll send the sources by mail.

Now about your question of updating the browser: Knoppix is 99% debian,
and pulls all updates from there. If you want to update the browser,
just update from Debian.

sudo apt update
sudo apt install -t unstable chromium
sudo apt install -t unstable firefox[-esr]

If you are looking for security-related updates, you can also do
update-security
which is a script that ONLY pulls packages marked as security updates.

With kind regards
