Re: choosing memtest from 8.1 on USB stick triggers reboot



Hello,

I just tried booting "memtest" from Knopix 8.1, but it seems to work
fine on x86_64 as well as i386. See attached screenshot.

I don't know why it does not work on your Intel PC. Maybe something in
the firmware disables direct hardware (RAM) access, or the RAM type is
not supported by this version memtest86.
