Well, the ubuntu distribution also allows booting off of a CD, so I'd guess that their live distribution would be your best bet.Ubuntu is so dumb you can't even save your setting on a floppy.
eh? you can save settings to a usb key though. I have a 1 Gbyte key from which I can boot Ubuntu and also also store back settings and data in another partition. for good or bad, Ubuntu folks have not neglected this area. --Sebastian Rahtz
