If you're using persistant image file then you've got a
local partition, right?

Insert or append the mount command onto the knoppix.sh
file in the root of the filesystem where te persistant image is.

If it's not already there, you may have to  add 'config=/dev/hda1
(or wherever the config.sh file is) to the startup commnd line.
config=scan would also work.
