update-menus fails with kde-i18n-sv

If I run 'update-menus' after installing kde-i18n-sv, I got following Perl
warnings:

        LANG = "sv_SV"
    are supported and installed on your system.

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.

This is my remastered version of Knoppix 4.0.2 and I have only english
(both us and uk), finnish and swedish locales (dpkg-reconfigure locales).
I have installed localepurge and other locales are removed than mentioned.

There is no such a locale as sv_SV existing, so how to get rid of Perl
warning of missing locale? I have KDE 3.5.0 version in used and
kde-i18n-sv package is not broken. Is this some Knoppix specific problem?
