Debian-type install boot options

Hi,

After a Knoppix Debian-type install, there are two grub entries

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.12 Default
root (hd0,5)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hdc6 ro ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en apm=power-off nomce acpi=off vga=791
initrd /boot/initrd.img
savedefault
boot

title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.12
root (hd0,5)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.12 root=/dev/hdc6 ro ramdisk_size=100000 lang=en apm=power-off nomce acpi=off vga=791
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.12
savedefault
boot

The first just symlinks to the second. Any use/reason for this?

Best,
Marc
