Is there any to setup a "persistent" unionfs layout in knoppix, using a USB flashdrive? Basically, I want to add the gaim-encryption package, but avoid the time and effort required for a full remastering (I'll save that for a more significant set of customizations ;-). I'm using the 4.0.2 DVD... any suggestions? My fallback plan is to simply drop the debfile on my flashdrive, and install it manually after knoppix boots. I'm hoping this can be automated, tho.
