RE: updatedb.conf fix
Thanx all for the effort to improve the knoppix and make it the optimum OS.
I am new to knoppix world, I just installed it two days back, but I am
still struggling with the wireless lan interface cinfiguration.
I have FUJITSU-SEIMENS laptop (Amilo 7400 series) and suing (Intel
pro/wireless LAN2100 3B mini PCI adapter) I tried all the drivers I have
like the one I got with the laptop (in the driver CD) as well as some other
intel pro driver and broadcom driver also, but It did not work. I used the
ndiswrapper configuration software (using knoppix 4.0) but it says there is
no device found for the driver installed, although when I am using the
iwconfig command and the ifconfig it tells me there is a wireless interface
on eth0, and even when I am using the iwconfig command to configure it
manually it tells me cannot set the freq (or the channel number) (operation
Finally I have another question please, how can make the setting that I am
doing for the knoppix session to be permanent (save the setting) in other
word I want to make the knoppix my permanent operating system... How can do
that?? Please explain from 0, consider me a 1 year child.
