it's a Knoppix 3.6. The remastering consists of ATI and Nvidia drivers
and a pile of games (http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14576).
The Nvidia drivers are the latest version that's working with
tv cards (that's the reason why the driver isn't the latest one).
But because everything is installed to the RAMDISK, 768 MB are
recommended. It's possible to install a system with hardware drivers
with this DVD (it's explained inside the magazine, I can post it
here if you're interested, just 2 commands). They you are able to play
with much less memory (unless you start vegastrike ;).

Yes, we are _able_ to include more drivers to Knoppix (I know
of the winmodem drivers and Klaus does too). But concerning the Winmodem
(and other binary drivers) the licence isn't often clear. I think
ndiswrapper was a nice addition and perhaps it's a possibility
to include the graphic drivers in one of the next releases (if
Klaus wants ;).

2.6.8.1 has been skipped, there is a newer kernel available. ;)

Hmm, 3.6 was academy (later 3.6 official), 3.5 was LinuxTag-DVD.

Ciao,
Martin
