Is anyone aware here that X is already working at that point?

So, it is most likely NOT a problem with X itself. The library warnings
are "normal" in the Debian/experimental version of XFree.

I rather suspect an error in the xsession startup scripts.
Has anyone checked about this?

However, since it is another "Knoppix after harddisk installation"
problem, it does not have a high priority for me. You find it and send a
patch. ;-)
