When I boot the latest knoppix with knoppix26 alsa my sound card is not detected. Booting with knoppix26 alsa=cmipci activates it (as does modprobe snd_cmipci), but such manual intervention was not necessary in previous versions. I am wondering what could have triggered this change, and how it can be fixed. Conrad
