No, it was a different script. But thanks for the link, it come in handy in
the future. I tried the Quanta installer script. It seemed to install ok,
but when I ran "quanta" at the command line, I saw the Quanta splash screen
flash for a second, then received the following error:

knoppix@ttyp5[/]$ quanta
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
TagAction::property( "accel" ) failed: property invalid or does not exist
TagAction::property( "accel" ) failed: property invalid or does not exist
TagAction::property( "accel" ) failed: property invalid or does not exist
quanta_exe: relocation error: quanta_exe: undefined symbol:
_ZNK7QString3argExii

I also tried saving it and running it as another user which has a persistent
home directory on the hard disk, and doesn't have any problems running kmail
and konqueror as the other user, but that failed as well with this message:

bing@ttyp3[knoppix]$ quanta
Session management error: Could not open network socket
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
_ZNK7QString3argExii

which is the same as above, except for the "Session management error: Could
not open network socket" which I also get when running kmail and konqueror
from a shell as the other user (bing), and the applications run without any
problems.

Is the error message a Quanta error message, or does it have to do with the
shell script or knoppix?

I'm running Knoppix 3.3
kde 3.1.3
Qt 3.2.1?

Thanks for any help. And thanks for Knoppix.

Bing.
