[debian-knoppix] using nfs?
hi debian-knoppix,
is it possible to use nfs with knoppix?
I have an old box here where I want to install linux, but the box is
so old, that it would take ages to do all the compiling on it.
I thought I try nfs and mount the partitions on my (gentoo) notebook
which is four times faster. :-)
is this possible with knoppix, is nfs included?
if so, do I need to make anything more than this:
<box>
- partitioning layout
- build filesystems
- edit /etc/exports
- start nfsd (how and where??)
</box>
<notebook>
- edit /etc/fstab
- mount partionions into appropriate directories
- start building the os.
</notebook>
thanks and regards
