Well, I'm not sure, but somehow assumed that Windows is able to read
standard ISO/Rockridge DVDs as well as CDs. No?

Unfortunately the GPL discriminates in this point. For "commercial"
distribution (i.e. if you sell the DVD in a Kit for funding the project
boots at LinuxTag), pointing to a web location is NOT sufficient, as
opposed to "non/commercial" distribution. So, we have to add a written
statement that says people can get the sources directly from us, or
include the full source. Unfortunately, the latter would require 3
additional DVDs for shortly obsolete sources, that nobody would want to
buy with the Kit. But it's necessary to be in compliance with the GPL.
