[debian-knoppix] Problem in remastering knoppix...
hello guys...
.I want to know is ,which are those packages, which
i can remove very safely.And which won't create any problem while
booting the customized cd.
Because many a times the cds which i have prepared,hang only upto
console.
for example,Recently i prapared one cd ,where i removed these
packages..
ethreal, kpresenter, koffice-libs, gnomemetting, gg-3,.2, kmail, nasm,
xpdf, cvs, xnest, mindi, samba, squid, wmaker, sodipodi, lyx-get,nedit,
net cat, afio, ainsnort, alien, ark, arpwatch, artwk-cursor,
ash-knoppix, atitrout, atmelwlandrive, auctex, autotrace, bochs,
bochsbios, cdbackup,cdda2wav, cdrecord, cddb, dd-rescue, dash,
dante-client,efax, efax-gtk, dvdrecord, ethreal, etherwake...
After burnig the iso image, when i booted from my new cd, it was givig
a long detailed error message..which i can breif as follows....
The superblock cannot be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem.................................................try running
e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
fsck failed.PLease repair manualy and reboot
..................................TO remount it(root file system) ..
#mount -n -o remount, rw/
What just can i see is that no GUI was coming .It started booting very
properly, until it reaches the stage of fsck cheaking...
But still i can try all command line operation.
