I tried (only on one PC so it's not "exhaustive"),
but didn't succeed, apparently you need
a FAT filesystem on the USB key to boot it.
I did it with a 128MB usb key.
I only have one laptop that has a usb-booting
BIOS, but I'm not sure it can really boot
because I still have to try a more "normal"
usb DOS floppy.
