Yeah, thats possible, but you can even do this now.
Copy whole KNOPPIX-directory on cdrom to one of your partitions as in
Windows-Syntax to C:\ so that in C:\KNOPPIX\KNOPPIX is the big file ...
Now its tricky, you can make a boot-disk, or boot from CD-Rom and in the short
period after you pressed "enter" on the first screen and knoppix finding the
cdrom, you eject the CD, then knoppix will search all partitions and infd it
on example c: and use that.
Thats called poor man's install :-))
