[debian-knoppix] OpenOffice German, change to US, edit instdb.ins in user directory possible?

I searched for a while on this, but came up empty. I know there was/is an
issue with German version of OOo installing, and have seen comments on other
lists about uninstalling/reinstalling the entire OOo package, but I'd like to
try the following. It's posted here so I could get help, and hopefully it
can help others avoid unistall/reinstall as well.

I attempted to install OOo for a user (workstation), not a full install, so
that I can run OOo as user on the underlying suse install I have. I'm
running knoppix from the cd drive, it happens to be the version prior to 5/20
right now (5/3 I think, can't find the 6/6 disk right now).

Basically the goal was to install the .config files for OOo into the user's
home directory. I want to run the OOo program as a specific user, not as
knoppix user.

In doing this, the German version workstation of OOo installed. I need the
English version. I took a look at the .config files, and in:

instdb.ins

I have the following at the top of the file:

Installation gid_Installation
	ProductName	 = "OpenOffice.org";
	ProductVersion = "1.0.3";
	DefaultDestPath = "OpenOffice.org1.0.3";
	DestPath	 = "/xxx/xxxxx/listhome/OpenOffice.org1.0.3";
	SourcePath	 = "/KNOPPIX/opt/openoffice";
	Mode		 = WORKSTATION;
	InstallFromNet = YES;
	ScriptVersion = 100;
	Bitmap		 = "open_office_ani.bmp";
	VendorBitmap = "open_office_org_logo.bmp";
	DefaultLanguage = "49";
	Languages	 = "49";
	InstLanguages = "49:1:1";

Without deleting the file, or having to go through detailed procedures such as
deleting and reinstalling the config file(s) or entire app, is it possible to
simply edit the last three lines, to the correct two digit number for
English/US (which is what two digit number?)? And will the 1:1 of the last
line remain the same? English/US is the only language I need for this user.

Does the SourcePath have to be changed (to an English version directory for
example, if there is a different version setting/directory for this line)?

Or am I chasing my tail because I need to do a full install before I can run
OOo as a user on the underlying suse installation? I can run other apps as
the underlying users, such as konqueror, kmail, and others without a problem.

Also, if the above is possible, and to make this usable to others needing
other language support, is there a list somewhere that lists each language,
and the corresponding two digit number? I haven't been able to find it. Can
you post a link if available?

Thanks.

And once again, thanks for a fine distro.

Now if we could only get Quanta Plus on the disk...8-)
