thanks for replying. I'll copy this mail also to the yammi mailing list,
perhaps somebody there has ever crossed the same problem.

The only place I found those qt.pc files so far is the qt-devel-3.0.5-7.14
RPM for i386:
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/qt-3.0.pc
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/qt.pc
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/qt3.pc
