I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but if you are just trying to do
remote display of X apps, then you need to install an X server on your
windows PC. The one that comes with cygwin works pretty well these
days. Once you have an X server running in Windows, then you just need
to tell putty to forward your X apps to local host. Works well for me.
