[debian-knoppix] Feature Request: booting with KNOPPIX dir in NTFS ?
Hello,
Everybody on this list should know that you can copy the KNOPPIX
directory and the KNOPPIX file into a fat/vfat/??? file system and boot
from a floppy.
What would it take to change the boot floppy, search for KNOPPIX file
script in order to try to mount (Read-Only) NTFS file system and check
for the presence of KNOPPIX there?
My guess is that it might be a political or space issue. Or is it
technical because of the stability of NTFS file system code in Linux kernel?
But considering all the PC pre-installed with a single NTFS partition
and the benefice in speed/noise/availability of CDrom drive when you
copy KNOPPIX file on HD, it would be nice to have feature.

It's most certainly GNU/Linux, not Linux. Read more at
