[debian-knoppix] Possible idea for Klaus's hardware probing skills
It occurs to me that the hardware probing side of Knoppix is a very impressive
feature. How about using the same sort of techniques to put together a 'head
start' in terms of kernel config files?
In other words, if someone wants to or requires recompiling their kernel, but
they're essentially without a clue regarding their own hardware or the
options required in a kernel config, the Knoppix magic could present them
with a considerable head start, with a reasonable guess as to what is
required. A sort of 'make knoppixconfigwiz' thingo.
