but it wouldt be hard to fix that.
i think the relevant files are plain text and easy to patch. but it's maybe much
easier... just call apt-get remove (and dpkg -P) afterwards. i'm sure that there
is an option, so that it does not stop when files to be deleted are missing.

i think it would be very nice if you could prevent some packages from
beeing copied to the disk. i wouldn't give the full package list, but a few
selected sets of packages. so that e.g openoffice is not copied.
(some sets could be: OO, games, hacking tools, language files/kde-i18n)
that would allow a quick install on a small HD on a older PC.
