AFAIK Debian is composed of two names: Debbie and Ian[1]. So "Deb" is with a short "e" like in Debbie and "ian" is just pronounced like the scottish (irish?) name Ian. [1] Debbie and Ian Murdock were the founders of the Debian project.
Knoppix Debian Linux Why do peaple keep naming there projet from their name? Don't they know this reduce the number of project they could write!Torvaldix would be next Linus kernel and Klausix next distribution of Klaus distribution.
