Fertig. Das hat sich erledigt ...
Das knx-hdinstall-script seit version 0.351/ also ab KNOPPIX 2002-12-12
unterstützt ext2, reiserfs und ext3.

Warum meint eigentlich jeder es wäre so einfach z.B. journaling filesysteme zu
verwenden ... oder das script entsprechend anzupassen ..
Natürlich kann ich es erst auf einer ext2-Partition installieren und dann auf
eine reiserfs-Partition kopieren ...
Ich passe die lilo.conf an, starte neu und hab nen Kernel-Panic ...
Was ist denn jetzt passiert ?
Natürlich kann man das so machen, aber dann könnte man ja auch im vorherigen
Script:
mke2fs durch mkfs.ext3 anpassen ...
Wow, dann bootet er sogar (aber er mountet es trotzdem als ext2 und damit
fallen die vorteile von journals weg :-/)
Für alle diese Fälle benötigt man eine initrd, die das knx-hdinstall-script
aber selber miterstellt ...
Deshalb bitte nur auf knx-hdinstall verweisen ...

Q: Can one also install the distribution from the CD onto a hard drive?
A: In principal, yes (after all, the "master" system also runs on a hard
drive before it is burned to CD). However there is currently no
installation GUI for this, so installation to a hard drive should probably
only be attempted by more knowledgeable Linux users. Assuming the KNOPPIX
system has already booted, installation approximately follows this
procedure:
1.) initialize a free partition with the ext2 file system and mount it on
/mnt/knoppix, for example.
2.) cp -a /KNOPPIX/* /mnt/knoppix/
3.) set up /mnt/knoppix/etc/fstab and /mnt/knoppix/etc/lilo.conf for the
new system (Caution: symlinks in /boot initially point to the Ram
disk!), run lilo.
4.) mkdir /mnt/knoppix/home/knoppix && \
chown knoppix.knoppix /mnt/knoppix/home/knoppix
5.) Reboot, try the system out, fix any broken settings.
