Sure, I can add that to the official archive on the mirrors, as soon as
the next release is due.

This is the Developers list, not the Newsletter. The Newsletter is a
private mailinglist of me where I post new features and announcements
about Knoppix every 2 months.

Ah, Ok, sorry for my misunderstanding. The developers list is
german/english on demand, depending on who's asking. I don't think that
it makes much sense to fork an additional english/russian/spanish list,
or do you believe this is necessary?

I would follow the simple approach: question in english -> answer in
english, question in german -> answer in german. If someone feels
misunderstood or fears to miss anything, he can ask again in english or
german.

I had 3 years of latin and russian in school (skipped french), but think our
russian and ancient-roman friends will still be able to understand either
english or german, so no need for a babelfish translation (which would
probably be even more unreadable than my own russian skills).

I have been thinking about a "Server" and "Desktop" split of Knoppix a
lot. This would free up some space on both versions, but is more
difficult to maintain, because you basically have to keep two different
distros up-to-date. Oliver is working on a self-build system where
random packages can be chosen, maybe his approach is faster than
splitting the current download version.
I would find a "server" version without X but with Webmin very neat,
especially for teaching and on-the-fly installations of servers.
