Well, actually I was asking for a solution that DOES work. Not for
alternatives that won't. ;-)

stracing init results in an early crash or deadlock. stracing the
X-Server alone is very problematic and hasn't worked for me yet.
Maybe a good solution would be to diff the file access times.
I will have a look at this later.
