Openoffice in german or english?
Hi everyone,
Currently, openoffice is present in english language on the download
version of KNOPPIX. Some people requet that we put the existing german
release 641b-de on the CD. Unfortunately, as of this writing, openoffice
cannot support multiple languages, i.e. each version has to be
recompiled with the desired language given in the Makefile(s).
Hopefully LOCALE-Support is on the way, though.
Are there any objections to switching over to the german version of
OpenOffice on the full-featured public version of the CD? Most other
programs run in the language specified by the "lang=xx" boot-option,
openoffice is probably the only exception for the moment. Is anybody
really using it from CD, btw?
Regards
-Klaus
