Package: src:linux
Version: 3.9.6-1
Severity: important

While using the network interface, the device/link/connection seems to
randomly drop out. The kernel log shows the following brcmsmac logspam.

There is a related bug report for Fedora which has a few comments, found
here: --

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=918396

I can confirm that bouncing the brcmsmac module "stabilizes" the card
for a short period. I am not putting any real transport load on the
device, streaming Internet radio is the only constant, and only real
load outside of browsing the WWW.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
