Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.41-2+deb7u2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

1) In the beginning of November I installed debian squeeze in the desktop, and
the video cards given were not appropriate to my system. So I installed the
kernel from squeeze-backports along with intel video packages.

2) Later in May (28-29) I decided to dist-upgrade to wheezy and the wheezy
stable kernel got installed.

3) In the beginning of June I decided to remove libpulse and some kde packages
were also removed. At the time I didn't care much about the kde packages since
I am using wmaker. Later I decided to install libpulse since some applications
that I needed were requesting for it.

4) All the crashes led my PC to freeze completely, where my keyboard and mouse
end being totally inoperational and I could only see a message displayed in
console mode. Similarly to a blue screen in windows. Each crash is detailed as
follow:
a) On the 3rd of June I experienced my first crash, I was simply doing some
audio editing in audacity and nothing else. There were some applications opened
such as x-chat, pidgin, gedit, kile, okular, google chrome and icedove.
b) On the 6th of June I experienced two crashes. The first one I was simply
using google chrome and surfing the internet and the applications that were
opened included: x-chat, pidgin, gedit, and google chrome. The second crash
happened short time after the first one. I only had opened a few consoles,
pidgin and xchat. I was trying to find some logs related to the latter crash.

The screen error that I experienced during the crash can be found in the
following link:
http://imagebin.org/260467

Additionally, I am providing the following information:
1) smartctl  ==> http://pastebin.com/pCrkCVHw
2) tune2fs ==> http://pastebin.com/gTxi6c4d

Best Regards,
Joao

Hi,

Assuming the issue is not anymore reproducible on recent kernels I'm
going to close this bugreport by now to clean up the list of src:linux
bugs from very old issues. In case you can reproduce the issue feel
free to reopen the bug.

Regards,
Salvatore
