Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Upgrading to testing from stable and unstable stopped trackpad from all functioning. This has been tested on multiple Lenovo Thinkpads including W530 and x230. Behavior is easily reproducible.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

After upgrade, trackpad stopped. Downgraded to unstable. Synaptics trackpad functions again.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
