Package: src:linux
Version: 3.11.10-1
Severity: normal

I usually use my laptop with an external screen, using:

  xrandr --fb 1920x1200 --output VGA-1 --mode 1920x1200 \
                        --output LVDS-1 --panning 1920x1200 && \
    xrandr --output LVDS-1 --off

in my .xsession script. But when I switch to a VT with Ctrl-Alt-F1,
the contents of the external screen remains frozen, until I type
Ctrl-Alt-F7 to go back to X.

Then I did:

  xrandr --output LVDS-1 --auto

and tried the same thing. Everything was OK on the laptop screen,
but the problem remained with the external screen.
