Package: src:linux
Version: 3.9.8-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have a Solaris 11.11 (vmware) virtual machine which mounts a host filesystem via NFS.
With the linux-image-3.2.0-3-amd64 kernel all was fine.
But with the linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 one the NFS accesses soon result in the general protection fault included below. After that NFS accesses stop working and the filesystem cannot be mounted by other VMs.

Host /etc/exports:
/home 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(rw,async,no_subtree_check,insecure)
/mnt/export1 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(rw,async,no_subtree_check,insecure)

The exported filesystems are all Ext4.

Solaris /etc/vfstab:
amboise:/home         -  /mnt/home     nfs  -  yes  rw
amboise:/mnt/export1  -  /mnt/export1  nfs  -  yes  rw

After the general protection fault rpcinfo tells me that:
$ rpcinfo -u amboise.vm nfs 2
rpcinfo: RPC: Timed out
program 100003 version 2 is not available
$ rpcinfo -u amboise.vm nfs 3
rpcinfo: RPC: Timed out
program 100003 version 3 is not available
$ rpcinfo -u amboise.vm nfs 4
rpcinfo: RPC: Timed out
program 100003 version 4 is not available

Yet:
$ rpcinfo -p | grep nfs
    100003    2   tcp   2049  nfs
    100003    3   tcp   2049  nfs
    100003    4   tcp   2049  nfs
    100003    2   udp   2049  nfs
    100003    3   udp   2049  nfs
    100003    4   udp   2049  nfs
