Bug#949727: firmware-misc-nonfree: Missing dependency initramfs-tools-core
Package: firmware-misc-nonfree
Version: 20190717-2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
I tried to install firmware-misc-nonfree and I got this error:
modprobe: ERROR: ../libkmod/libkmod.c:508 kmod_lookup_alias_from_builtin_file()
could not open builtin file '/lib/modules/xxx/modules.builtin.bin'
... where xxx is the result of $(uname -r)
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
apt install firmware-misc-nonfree
* What was the outcome of this action?
This fixed the problem.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I'd like this dependency to be automatically installed with firmware-misc-nonfree.
Thanks, best regards
