Note that in the case of AES, this is not just a matter of performance - NEON
and bit sliced AES routines implement the AES cipher in a time invariant
matter, and so without them, arm64 CPUs that do not implement the crypto
extensions (such as the Raspberry Pi3) are forced to fall back on the generic,
table based C implementation.
