It's not very large, but yes there is a cost.


Is it enough to leave it disabled? It seems that being a (standard) sysfs interface, the penalty is not really much at all (and considering all the other stuff that we do have enabled in the kernel, especially for convenience and/or usability, having this enabled shouldn't be an issue).

I hope you can consider enabling it.
