Package: src:linux
Version: 4.7.2-1
Severity: normal

PPTP VPN has stopped working in 4.7 kernel. Worked just fine in 4.6.

I did some limited debugging, without much success. It seems ppp_mppe
module is not loaded on demand, and also loading it manually doesn't
help at all. No errors in the kernel log. pppd reports LCP: timeout
sending Config-Requests and timeouts.

It also seems to be an intentional change (read further comments
there).  I think you'll need to explicitly load
the nf_conntrack_pptp module, e.g. by listing it in a file under
/etc/modules-load.d.

Ben.
