Bug#824416: cpu fan doesn't start

>Please try reconfiguring lm-sensors to not load the lm75 driver.  Or,

>if it is listed in /etc/modules or /etc/modules-load.d/*.conf, remove

>or comment-out that line.

Ok, I comment out the module and lm75 is not loaded now. The cpu fan seems to start sometimes and only after the temperature has gone very very high.

The result is that system becomes very slow and unusable until and if the cpu fan start.

When the fan drops the temperature it stops. After that, the same behavior is repeated.

If I reboot, the message “high temperature reached” still appears and system halted.

Fresh install doesn’t change anything either.

John.
